CSG Urban Partners and Trammell Crow Company were selected by St. Mathew’s Evangelical  Lutheran Church to redevelop the former Church property into a mixed-use project containing  market-rate, rental housing units and a new St. Matthew Church and Community Center.  The site is located in the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood adjacent to the Waterfront Metro station.

Valo, the residential component is a 221-unit, multi-family development that CSG Urban Partners, Trammell Crow Company and Meadows Partners, formed a joint venture to develop.  Located between the Wharf and the Ballpark District, Valo’s residents will be able to walk to two dynamic neighborhoods offering world class retail opportunities, unique open spaces, regional entertainment and sports venues including the Anthem, Nationals Park and DC United Stadium. 

Valo is the tallest building on the south side of M Street, SW and has stunning views of the Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol, Potomac River and National Airport from its penthouse level and rooftop pool deck.  Construction was completed in 2017 and the project is fully stabilized.
