The YMCA sought the services of a professional real estate advisor with significant experience in mission-driven strategic real estate planning; financial and market analysis; disposition and lease negotiations; structuring complex real estate redevelopment projects; and, facilitating working relationships between non-profit organizations and private sector developers in order to assist the YMCA with the long-term strategic planning of its real estate portfolio.
The YMCA’s goal was to reposition itself to enhance its operations and community mission, improve its public image, and better utilize and achieve the full value of its real estate
Solution / Outcome
As the real estate advisor for the YMCA of Pittsburgh, CSG has played an integral role in assessing the YMCA's real estate portfolio, consisting of 16 sites. As a result, the Association now has a clear strategic real estate plan and has begun implementation by leveraging its assets to further the mission by dissolving non-perfoming assets and resturcting the portfolio.
